极乐寺八角亭



清晨五点多就起床
与家人享用早餐后
就到极乐寺八角亭
见证全球最大的八角亭落成典礼
今天是极乐寺三大庆典周日隆重举行
1)白圣上人圆寂20周年纪念追思会
2)极乐寺庆祝118周年纪念
3)极乐寺观音圣像八角亭落成礼
这是目前世界最大的八角亭
而那16根石柱也具有特色
这个巨型的八角亭高达91公尺
支撑它的是16根中国进口的青岩石柱
每根柱又以8个石圈组成
柱上雕著具有佛教色彩的图案
观音像及八角亭整个工程一共耗资了7000余万令吉
仪式开始时,先颂唱三宝歌,
后进行升彩球,联合剪彩仪式
大会放生118只和平鸽,祈求国泰民安
大会邀请了
泰国、缅甸、寮国、柬埔寨、斯里兰卡僧王出席盛会
参与者仍包括各南北藏传高僧及长老
此外,大会也邀请
槟城首长林冠英
首相署部长丹斯里许子根博士
房屋及地方政府部部长拿督江作汉
首相署部长丹斯里许子根博士拨出100万令吉的首相署特别拨款予极乐寺
我当然也拍了很多照片
与大家分享这历史性的一幕
也和槟城首长官车(PG1)拍照留念
记得,2005年当负责槟城老人院开幕时
也曾经与它合照
现在的它,还是它
但,主人已换了
换了槟城人所称的“观音”冠英...嘻嘻!!

Went to the Kek Lok Si Temple Octagonal Pavilion
Witness the inauguration of the world's largest octagonal pavilion
Today is the Kek Lok Si Temple was held three ceremonies
1) Bai Sheng passed away in 20th anniversary memoria
l2) To celebrate 118 anniversary of the Kek Lok Si Temple
3) The Kek Lok Si Temple inauguration ceremony of an octagonal pavilion Guanyin Icon
This is currently the world's largest octagonal pavilion
And that also has characteristics of 16 columns
The giant octagonal pavilion up to 91 meters
It is supported by 16 pillars Chinese imports Qing Yan
Composed of 8 stone circle
Pillar engraved with the Buddhist colour patterns
An octagonal pavilion of the whole project cost a total of more than 7,000 million ringgit
The ceremony begins, the first chant the Three Treasures songs
General Assembly let 118 dove free, pray for peace and prosperity
The General Assembly invited
(Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Sri Lanka)King Monk attended the event Participants are still including the north and south of Tibetan monks and the elders
In addition, the Assembly also invited
Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng
Minister for Prime Minister's Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon
Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Kong Cho Ha
The Prime Minister's Department contribute one million ringgit special funding for Kek Lok Si Temple
